The name of our planned-giving society references the year the Allentown Art Museum was born, April 13, 1934, when American Impressionist artist and educator Walter Baum (1884–1956) formally established a space for local artists to exhibit their works, share ideas and techniques, and inspire each other and their community with original, inspiring, homegrown art. On that historic day more than ninety years ago, Baum created the Museum to preserve and protect our artistic and cultural heritage, and ensure public access to that heritage.
As a member of the 1934 Legacy Circle, you are an essential link between this storied past and the future of the Museum. Your support can make all the difference: Will the Allentown Art Museum continue that important legacy of ensuring public access to the arts, bringing people together, and being a vital cultural resource for everyone in our community?
We have accomplished so much over the past nine decades, and your commitment to the Museum as a member of the The 1934 Legacy Circle will ensure that we can continue to be a resource for all, forever.
